Prostie lacht vom U-Bahn Pfeiler auf Presse-Sketches vom Berliner ‘Radbahn’ Projekt

Mein Lieber Prost Prostie Auslachen Keep Berlin Weird Radbahn Radautobahn U1 U12 Wrangelstrasse Kreuzberg Bike-sharing

Cisco, the world’s leading network supply specialist, opened its new Cisco Innovation Center called ‘openBerlin’ on October 16th in Berlin. The center is part of the Euref campus in Berlin-Schoeneberg next to Berlin’s famous Gasometer.

openBerlin is one of nine Cisco Innovation Centers around the world and it aims to bring together Cisco’s customers and industry partners as well as Cisco developers to work on solutions in the field of the Industry 4.0 which is also known as the Internet of things (IoT).

And Keep Berlin Weird artist Prost has designed a mural for the new innovation center with his landmark oneliner style. Inspired by the industrialization and the impact that the Internet of Things will bring along to humans the artist designed two faces opposing each other to inspire and move creativity to a new level in these beautiful surroundings.

If you want us to create some inspiring artwork in your company or private home as well, please contact us at hello (ät) keepberlinweird.com.

A short overview of the new innovation center can be seen in this footage:

‘Global Warming Local Warning’ Exhibition by Keep Berlin Weird artists Za-P and Mein Lieber Prost at Deutsch Französisches Jugendwerk in Berlin-Mitte

A spontanious collaboration between the two Keep Berlin Weird artists Mein Lieber Prost and Za-P who come from two different disciplines of art and from two very different artistic backgrounds. And the work shown here is not at all reminiscant of their traditional paths: Unlike Prost’s or Za-P’s contemporary artworks, this series of pictures is about dissing Berlin’s local issues like mass tourism, global warming, gentrification, life styles and even the public transportations strikes and delays. In the most comfortable way it can be stated that irony is a big part of this particular show on our city we love so much.

The exhibit took place at the Deutsch Französisches Jugendwerk in the heart of Berlin. Also a creative station was built up where visitors could share their own ways of global warming and other topics in creative ways. The p(r)ostcards from the exhibition which also work as stickers can be bought at the Keep Berlin Weird Shop.

Samstag, 24.10.2015 ab 19h: Laura Schürmann ‘Ab-Art-ig’ Vernissage and Exhibition

Laura Schuermann the Club Neukölln Keep Berlin Weird presents

At the artist reception both artists were quite busy answering plenty of questions from the people and were happy to explain ideas and markant features about their art to the interested audience. Especially ZorZorZor’s deep drawings of women which also have become kind of her trademark steered a lot of interest with guests.

One of the visitors of the exhibition was Berlins oldest Hipster, seventy year old Anton Krabbenhöft who was recently featured in style magazines all over the world for his unique way of dressing, including Cosmopolitan and the US Huffington Post. In a chat with Mario, the Kreuzberg native revealed that he is a big fan of street art and that he enjoys being surrounded by the ubiquoius beautiful art that the streets of Berlin offer. He added, it’s like living in a big gallery which is also permanently changing and evolving.

Keep Berlin Weird and Prachtwerk teamed up for Prachtwerk Street Food & Street Art Market

Prachtwerk Street Art Street Food Market Vol. 1 Taste of Bangkok Street Food Kitchen Mein Lieber Prost Keep Berlin Weird Rathaus Neukölln

Keep Berlin Weird and the Prachtwerk Berlin in Neukölln teamed up this June for a very special event: The first Prachtwerk Street Food & Street Art Market which featured some of the best things Berlin has to offer: Great street art, fantastic street food, and awesome electronic music. The first installment of this event had a Thai theme and was called “Taste of Bangkok”.

KBW Prachtwerk Berlin Rathaus Neukölln Antje Prost Oneliner Window Keep Berlin Weird MegalohPrachtwerk is a beautiful art and music venue centrally located close to Rathaus Neukölln. In they daytime they function as a café and regularly cater to people working on MacBooks and enjoying delicious coffee. At night they often feature music concerts and open stages. Prachtwerk also has art from local artists on display and there is a small gallery in the basement for art installations.

Prachtwerk Street Art Street Food Market Vol. 1 Taste of Bangkok Street Food Kitchen Mein Lieber Prost Keep Berlin Weird NeuköllnFor the first Prachtwerk Street Food & Street Art Market Berlins famous street artist and artivist Prost (1L) showcased his current work, oneliner with a second chance. 14 of his artworks, which have previously been shown at Plateau Gallery, were at display for this evening at Prachtwerk. But that was not all. He also placed some permanent work on a wall on the basement of Prachtwerk and also the front windows were designed by him with his landmark oneliners with special window color. His window oneliners got very famous last year when Prost was featured in Megaloh’s music video Dr. Cooper as he drew the German Hip Hop Star through a glass-door.

In addition Prost performed on stage over the evening with live painting acts, creating a total of four new artworks on canvas. For one of his paintings he asked one of the attendees to join him on stage and he surprised the girl that he was going to draw a full body portrait of her.

Apart from art there was plenty of food. The Thai food specialists from Bangkok Street Food Kitchen delighted everyone with some of the best dishes Thailand has to offer. They showcased a Thai Curry stand which offered not only Mussaman Curry – the king of curries – that has been voted number one on CNN’s World’s Best Prachtwerk Street Art Street Food Market Vol. 1 Taste of Bangkok Street Food Kitchen Mein Lieber Prost Keep Berlin Weird NeuköllnFoods list. They also brought along the typical green, red, and Panang style curries and also offered a vegan version which people really liked. Also on offer was the all-time favorite noodle dish Pad Thai as well as spring rolls and for dessert sweet Thai coconut noodle (Lawt Chong). And of course there was Thai beer! The two famous Thai beer brands Singha and Chang were readily available for the thirsty crowd.

Electronic music was played by Sebastian Daehnel (Berliner Vorwahl), Jazzil (Sysiphos) and Anna Strohm (BerlinHearts) and they kept people grooving all night long.

Keep Berlin Weird presents: The ZOR ZORE ZOR – SEPARATE TOGETHER Exhibition Friday, August 28th at Plateau Gallery, Berlin

Zor Zore Zor Exhibition Keep Berlin Weird Plateau Gallery

Keep Berlin Weird presents the
ZOR ZORE ZOR – SEPARATE TOGETHER Exhibition
at the Berliner Vorwahl Loft

!!! Change of location: We moved the location from the Plateau Gallery to the Berliner Vorwahl Loft close to U-Bahnhof Görlitzer Bahnhof (Address see below) !!!

This joint exhibition features Chicago’s well-known and nationally acclaimed artists ZORZORZOR and ZORE. Both have become part of the Keep Berlin Weird family on their regular trips to Berlin and we are delighted to bring them back for a special exhibition:

Vernissage + Exhibition Friday, August 28th starting at 6pm.
Admission free / Eintritt frei

Working tirelessly as a street artist and studio artist, ZORZORZOR is making her rounds across the globe. She began her work and personal study in Paris, adapted it to her hometown streets of Chicago, and since then has quickly grown to bringing it to every city she encounters on her journey. Working with materials she finds along the way, ZORZORZOR loves to compose shapes and lines, creating mask like faces and figures. Without any formal training, her work is intuitive, often expressing hidden emotions she holds within herself. She frequently uses words and phrases to further draw the viewer into her works.

ZORE and ZORZORZOR has previously shown work at the Chicago Cultural Center and the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago, and is working on an anticipated solo exhibition at Elephant Room Gallery in Chicago this May. Last year they also both exhibited at the one-day Lost and Found Exhibition at QL-Gallery Berlin together with Keep Berlin Weird artists Mein Lieber Prost and Rolly.

Artists ZORE as Mario Gonzalez Jr. (a.k.a Zore64) and ZORZORZOR have been working closely for 2 years time, traveling, painting and showing side by side. Coming from different backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets, their work uniquely compliments the others. Mario’s abstract graffiti letter forms and wildstyles are both bold and subtle, while ZORZOR’s figures are delicately powerful. Together they love to play with layers, sometimes going from piece to piece and adding their marks on each others works. In the end, one artist may dominate the piece, however the influence of both is reflected, whether faintly or distinctly.

After working so closely for such amount of time, the two artists will spend a month apart, creating separate individual works in separate locations. Here in Berlin they will meet again, joining their work together, and possibly transforming it completely. Jointly, they will create site specific paintings, collaboratively on location, each bringing what they gained with their time away.
